I’ve put a new 10-14 blade on the vertical band saw. It should be a better quality one than the last blade. Please check the speed chart and use the correct speed for the material you are cutting. There is also a 6-10 blade (and a 6TPI blade) available if you need it).
Also use lubricant and don’t “FORCE” the blade, light pressure to keep the teeth engaged, let the teeth do the work.
OK to cut acrylic with the bandsaw?
Sure. There’s a 6 tpi blade on it right now, I’d swap it out for a 10-14 (and leave that on the saw).
