I stored the strandbeest bike I made in the 102 warehouse for anyone to try riding it if you want to. Price of admission is posting a picture to social media somewhere.
Note that it is 37 inches wide, so you shouldn’t get close to anything. And it’s only good for about a walking pace before the bouncyness gets concerning.

Impressive not so little piece of engineering. Was interesting to see a number of people give it a whirl during the membership meeting last night.
I managed not to break it so it’s got to be reasonably stout!
Does it need additional load testing?

From testing so far I think the weak link is the harbor freight zip ties holding the frame (black tube) to the bike, I’m printing a new version that will use bolts and hose clamps instead of zip ties

I may have made the ride worse by making the attachment to the bike more rigid, can feel each step more now. The angle of frame to bike level is not perfectly aligned, but the movement of the shocks in the front forks makes dialing that alignment in difficult.

Maybe a rubber mount to reduce the transmission of vibrations to the frame?

Okay i took a spin. it was extremely fun but noone was around to document it. 10/10 would spin again
@Brandon_Green what is your guestimate of the maximum weight? I’m so tempted to give it a spin but don’t want to break it. 
This is awesome! I would like for my 12 year old maker grandson to see and take it for a loop. When is it out? Tour nights?
I’m ~280 and it didn’t so much as strain under my heft.
