Sorry I don’t know the answer. I tagged this post for “Metal Shop” and am tagging Lee Jones ( @LeeCJones), as he would be most likely to know any plans. Keep an eye on the calendar is my best response.

I have scheduled a Welding Processes and Safety class plus a MIG welding class for April 9th. I am also planning TIG Classes for steel and aluminum mid April as well.

Can I sign up for the Welding Processes and Safety class and take the Introduction to MIG Welding class on the same day?
Also I tried to send the email to [email protected] and it keeps bouncing back saying undeliverable.

Looks like the new Metal Shop Committee chair Chuck Graf (@dallasmagna ) was confirmed last night at the board meeting, but I believe Lee Jones (@LeeCJones ) is still planning to teach those classes. Tagging them to see if they might chime in.
Though I have heard the plan is to continue offering the classes, I’m figuring the schedule is uncertain at this point.

Chiming in to show my interest for taking this class as well. Unfortunately checked the schedule a few days after the previous class and missed them!
I’d like to sign up for a MIG class and there’s nothing on the events calendar as of this morning.

I would actually like to see a sorta test-out or discussion about procedure. I have a MIG welder at home(complete with 250 cf 75/25), the issue I have at times is I will make some items at the space to have to weld at home just to bring back up to the space. I wouldn’t even mind giving the metal shop the fee that might be associated with the class. We have to cover consumables some way.
If there was a curriculum I would even teaching some MIG classes.

I would be happy to pay for consumables and even instructor fees. Just let me know how much. I have a lot of welding priject i need to start on but training is holding the whole process up.

Sign me up Tim! I’d be happy to pay for consumables and class fees - especially for MIG. I’d consider teaching classes in the future to help out as well.
