Locksmith class? Willing to teach

@Josh_Bishop we actually advise the members to use the following amazon link when ordering kits:

This one is attached to amazon smile which shows one’s support for Dallas Makerspace.

This thread caused me to take a peek into the wayback viewfinder, where the the following pic was found. A reminder of 1.5 year locksmithing gig, circa 1976. Service van is for (now defunct) Aaron Lock & Safe in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Located at ‘Safest Corner in Arkansas’. Not sure where my hair went…

Looking forward to the class.

Check the back of your neck. I think it slipped.

I’m about 15 minutes out and will be there shortly. Unless someone from @Team_VCC wishes to go over the material the class will start about 6:20 or earlier if Lyft can get there sooner…

6mins out. see you guys here in a moment, We’ll order pizza or bagels for after the class as a thanks to everyone that waited patently.

Rafael Rincon, your today's winner of your own pick set.

We’ll be sending out notice once they arrive at the space.

Thank you everyone for coming out.

We couldn’t do it with out great makers like you.

@hon1nbo we had about 40 attendees so let me know when you’ll like to do the next class and if you need anything.

when was the event posted? I must have missed it somehow.

@brenly look back on this thread, we’ve had it on the calendar for about a month or so.

Kits have been ordered and shipped to the space.

Follow their progress with the link below:

I’ll try for the next one. I was out of town for this one.

I suspect @maxk68, as acting head of 3D Fab, would be quite pleased if a locksmith class practiced picking on the cabinet beneath PolyPrinter 96. It is my understanding the key has disappeared and, at a minimum, that cabinet contains a fist full of brand new nozzles for the Rostock.

Kits have arrived and are awaiting prize winners.

We also have a few new locks for the next event.

Interested for sure. There is a class next Tuesday (16th I believe) so that may be a good class to check out to see what the interest is.

Car locks would help a lot for those of us who’s keys tend to end up locked in them haha

Class event posted for the 101. Thanks to @tex_maam
