Better pics when it’s dry…results of the steamroller print. 30" X 40" block. Paper a little larger. I have more pics of the process.
Hand drawn with ink on small scale, scanned into Illustrator. Svg imported into Vcarve and cut on Multicam CNC. Used tinted glue/acrylic paint from CA to tone block and mark some spots that needed tweaking. Hand carved those, sealed with shellac, then printed at the TAMCU event in Dallas. When it’s dry it’ll be signed with a laser cut chop I’ve made. Shout out to @MathewBusby and @AlexRhodes for helping me get cleared in time to do it!
Next up is building a frame for it and getting some glass cut
Here is the edited video of me making the last foot leveler for the table. Again this is from a fauxpro (Eken action cam from Microcenter) Probably the first time I’ve edited a video. https://youtu.be/VPWWS2pOjAs
Edit to add a pic of the screen facing the correct way so the logo isn't backwards... (_It will actually screen print in the correct direction. The first pic was taken while it was still drying..._  )
A gift I made a couple of days ago for a very special Mommy using the dye sublimation equipment in the Creative Arts room, a template I purchased from someone on a Facebook Sublimation group and two recent pix of my two favorite lil men
Here are a couple of things that I am working on for Mother’s Day.
I folded this origami rose before the lathe class, last Friday. It was folded from a 12"x12" piece of red wrinkled scrapbook paper. Between the main rose, center portion, and the shaping, there is well over 100 individual folds per rose.
This was my first attempt (not my last) at making a popup card. It was all made from white cardstock (one piece of red construction) colored / decorated with some good old Dollar Tree markers. I need to use different glue. You can see parts pulled free, near the center.
Last year I sloppily designed and laser cut a seal press so I could install a seal on my truck without jacking it up (and save like $100 compared to the GM tool). I kept it on the off chance I’d need to press another seal the same size which at the time I figured was never going to happen. Well, turns out I needed it which is both good and bad.
I got everything apart and then back together again. I forgot to plug a wire back in for the 4WD actuator but other than that it seems good. No leaks!
As soon as I can find some time to cut this, I will - a solution to a cat that likes to gnaw on USB cables charging phones overnight (but wisely refuses to nibble on AC cords).
