Coronavirus : outcome over blown

How does being ambidextrous count? I write left-handed, bat/play sports right-handed (except for ping pong, for which I’ll use either hand). My left hand has more finesse, while my right is stronger.

I use which ever hand is has a better orientation for hammering, sawing, screwdrivers, power tools, etc. This is a great ability when it comes to blacksmithing - when one hand gets tired, I can just swap.

Both of my boys are left handed while my daughter, myself & wife are all right handed.

That sounds awesome. Let’s all go live at Eric Smith’s parents’ house! I’ll bring the beer.

Seriously, though, they sound like responsible people. I’m doing the same with my 90 year old father but I’m planning on a longer isolation.

I’m pretty ambidextrous myself. I always thought it just came with the territory in a right handed world.

Wow. I’d give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

I write left handed and that is literally it. I think it started very early in elementary school when the left handed safety scissors were sub par compared to a few pairs of the right.

That said my handwriting is trash, so I’m sure with about a day’s worth of effort I could go full right

ROFLMAO! Bob you are good

I do as well. How do you have time to drag up ~40 minutes worth of videos whose content could be easily distilled down to ~10 minutes of written material?

In response to the TP I came across this video. I do enjoy his videos.

Coronavirus is a respiratory disease. The excessive pollution of china makes things worse. I doubt the numbers. China has had problems with disease before. You do deal with the history thus you shall not repeat the failures of your studies. I study disease and you study toilet paper. Are you stalling for time?

If anything China is under reporting how many cases/deaths they’ve had. They tried for so long to suppress it.

Our smog is less, our health care and governmental system is better than china.

Smog is less, health care and government being better than China’s is…debatable. Our medical facilities are already being overwhelmed and despite the advanced warning, we still don’t have anywhere near enough tests. Especially considering the current chuckle fucks at the helm.

A summary of Trump’s hot takes on this:

January 22: “We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China. It’s going to be just fine.”

February 2: “We pretty much shut it down coming in from China.”

February 24: “The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA… Stock Market starting to look very good to me!”

February 25: “CDC and my Administration are doing a GREAT job of handling Coronavirus.”

February 25: “I think that’s a problem that’s going to go away… They have studied it. They know very much. In fact, we’re very close to a vaccine.”

February 26: “The 15 (cases in the US) within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero.”

February 26: “We’re going very substantially down, not up.”

February 27: “One day it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.”

February 28: “We’re ordering a lot of supplies. We’re ordering a lot of, uh, elements that frankly we wouldn’t be ordering unless it was something like this. But we’re ordering a lot of different elements of medical.”

March 2: “You take a solid flu vaccine, you don’t think that could have an impact, or much of an impact, on corona?”

March 2: “A lot of things are happening, a lot of very exciting things are happening and they’re happening very rapidly.”

March 4: “If we have thousands or hundreds of thousands of people that get better just by, you know, sitting around and even going to work — some of them go to work, but they get better.”

March 5: “I NEVER said people that are feeling sick should go to work.”

March 5: “The United States… has, as of now, only 129 cases… and 11 deaths. We are working very hard to keep these numbers as low as possible!”

March 6: “I think we’re doing a really good job in this country at keeping it down… a tremendous job at keeping it down.”

March 6: “Anybody right now, and yesterday, anybody that needs a test gets a test. They’re there. And the tests are beautiful…. the tests are all perfect like the letter was perfect. The transcription was perfect. Right? This was not as perfect as that but pretty good.”

March 6: “I like this stuff. I really get it. People are surprised that I understand it… Every one of these doctors said, ‘How do you know so much about this?’ Maybe I have a natural ability. Maybe I should have done that instead of running for president.”

March 6: “I don’t need to have the numbers double because of one ship that wasn’t our fault"

March 8: “We have a perfectly coordinated and fine tuned plan at the White House for our attack on CoronaVirus.”

March 9: “This blindsided the world.”

March 9: Pence says Trump’s “priority” was getting Americans off the ship

March 9: "The Fake News Media and their partner, the Democrat Party, is doing everything within its semi-considerable power (it used to be greater!) to inflame the CoronaVirus situation, far beyond what the facts would warrant.”

March 10: “It will go away. Just stay calm. It will go away.”

March 13: National Emergency Declaration

March 13: “I don’t take responsibility at all”

March 15: “TODAY IS A NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER. GOD BLESS EVERYONE!”

March 16: “I give myself a 10 out of 10”

March 17: “I’ve always known this is a real–this is a pandemic. I felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic.”

you wanted affordable health care. you got it.

Congress controls the budget.

You are educated you know the separation of powers in the government. Are you open minded and tolerant? Or is the questioning and slander reserved exclusively for America and capitalism? People say dumb things and people are proud. As far as i see it china does dumb thing and so does America. I know that people will say i did a dumb thing by believing in civil conversation and starting this thread. What then kill freedom of speech? debate is adversarial by nature. but a debate is mean spirited because the actors at work chose it to be. common ground is found between people of differing views because they look for it.

Ive worked in most of North Texas’s hospitals over the years. Frankly it’s scary these facilities are being relied upon. The Joint Commission should do a better job with surprise inspections & flag things that should be fixed. Including mechanical systems.

Speaking of, I noticed that in the topic header of this posting and in your initial posting, you’re still calling this crisis “overblown” and possibly “no threat.” You do know that you can edit your post to delete that garbage, right?
