Cool LED Tree! - Discussion

Wow! Very impressive! Are the LED’s individually addressable (for color)?

love it! I’ve been threatening to replace the lights on our tree with addressable LEDs for a while. Looks great! How many pixels?

Yes they are individually addressable

Damn, I remember the days when I built a outdoor mega tree and the pixel nodes were $0.67-0.80 each. That’s an amazingly good deal for one day delivery. If you need 30,000 you need to contact Ray Wu’s store on Ali express https://www.aliexpress.com/store/701799?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.6591609aqNsGou

Interesting looking sequencer software. Is that Vixen, LoR or xLights?

None I work with pixelblaze with Ben Henke. I have a dozen or so boards around if anyone wants to play with one. Real time editing over wifi

Sick documentation ~$28 I think. My favorite

For the pixel mapping Im using Rocket Life $35

Got new ESp32 and nano boards multiple times smaller, multiple times more powerful than what you are seeing and we’d like more input on them.

Definitly watch this for easy pixel mapping

They also have a discord / talk site that actually is helpful and showcases stuff.

Cool I actually have a few PixelBlaze boards and the sensor sub boards. They are amazing and such a good deal!

Edit I found 4 4 meter rolls and a couple of boards.
