tl;dr: DMS infrastructure has better access control, data policies, cybersecurity, and general oversight than Twitter. And fewer bots, including that robot arm thing.

Only two bots here to be precise

More than that. Machine shop has 4 alone. Metal shop 1, woodshop 2 etc.
DMS in my opinion ha taken a very cautious approach about sensitive member info in two main areas I’ve been involved with:
- SSN in for folks getting honorariums from DMS. These are only kept within our accounting system and were only accessible by certain people on Finance committee and the accountants when printing the 1099’s. The system has them in an area where that requires special access permission beyond the general firewall.
- CC’s. DMS never has these numbers beyond the last 4 digits. The rest are maintained by the CC processor. So DMS systems can’t leak these.
Others can speak to other information and how it is protected. But personally, these two are the most critical. However, FYI people with voting rights, if requested, must be provided access to name, and address, so they they can be contacted. This is per state law and DMS can’t say NO. If you don’t want this, I suggest you revoke your voting rights.
I think from the very bringing DMS has been very responsible in the use of member data even collected and how it is used.
