I wanted to make a note on here about this for those who are unsure. No wood sanding in the blacksmith shop. I noticed that a member had used the kmg to sand some wood in the blacksmith shop. That is a great machine to do that type of work, on the other hand it is a safety hazard in that shop. Even if you clean up a little the wood dust tends to collect and create a big safety risk. The whole area really needs to be cleaned up after using that for wood if it happens which is why it’s a no go. I know the member that did this and I just wanted to post on here saying it’s a no go from here on out.
Future note we are going to work on building a better ventilation system similar to the wood shop. Other note if wood shop is able to purchase a 2-72 inch belt sander similar to the kmg in the blacksmith shop that would help. I will talk with the wood shop chair and see if he can make that happen so it’s not a problem in the future.
