Is the “Woodshop Safety and Orientation” class required in order to take the “Wood Lathe 101” class?

No, these are mutually exclusive classes and the Woodshop Safety class does not get you signed off on the lathe and vice versa. Neither is a prerequisite for the other in case folks are only interested in the lathes.
