Who made this? Its great!

I was just checking to see if my stuff was ready and I saw this awesome tiki mug on the shelf and wondered if whoever made it might let me know where they got the stuff/how they did it.I am taking the slip class in a few weeks and would love to make one. I collect them so it would be really cool to have one I made in my collection. Thanks!!

I borrowed the mold from Julie. Who is teaching the slip casting class? Might be able to bring it (with Julie’s permission of course).

Great! Thank you. Most appreciated, I will totally ask her.

If this is a slipcast, I MUST make several of these for an as yet unplanned Tiki Party this Summer.

Yup, it’s slipcasting, fyi, it takes awhile.

I’m always excited about sharing my molds so that I can see what people create but the logistics are a challenge. Your piece won’t be ready to de-mold for 2-4 hours, sometimes next day depending on the slip and humidity. It can be tough for me to wait around at DMS that long regularly. But feel free to PM me and maybe we can work something out?
