I agree with @engpin ; it would be nice to know so people can plan to be present at the meeting.

Or provide proxies. These are important. Just because you can’t make it, a proxy shows your interest and involvement.

For starters, you aren’t available to be there at that time. Proxies are a good way to participate.

For everyone’s reference - the Fired Arts Committee meeting and chair election is set for Tuesday the 17th at 8pm in the Lecture hall. @dryad2b thank you for getting that scheduled!
