There are local Dutch oven cooking chapters in the area. If your interested in learning more and trying camp cooking with Cast iron, the Collin County Dutch Ovens meet in Lucas (east of Allen) on the first Saturday of each month and cook outside using charcoal.
Friendly group, very open of new cookers, lots of good food.
