Hey everyone, :wave:

I’m a new member and was wondering if there are any TIG/MiG certification classes coming up ?

Would love to get certified and start working on some projects.

Can you weld already? If so come to the committee meeting on Saturday. Otherwise @nugen @malcolmputer teach welding on occasion

While we can teach you welding, we don’t offer certification.

Your first step to taking a welding class is to take the Hot Process Safety online Dallas Makerspace: Log in to the site

Sorry, I didn’t mean the certification as a welding certification, but there’s a sign that says you have to be certified before using the welders. I’ve already completed the hot process safety course for the p Plasma cutter.

Yes, I can Mig weld, but I am wanting to learn how to Tig. I wanted to follow the steps, and it says in the weld shop to get certified before using the welders.

If you stop by after the metal shop meeting this Saturday I can check you off for the MIG, and we can figure out when to get you trained on TIG. You could also sign up for one of Malcolm’s classes for TIG when they appear
