Hi,
Is there a class coming up to learn weaving using the machine in the creative art studio. Of if someone uses it, we can coordinate and you can show me the basics

We hold monthly Fiber meetups called Fiberfrolic that is every month.

Do you know which machine or device you’re interested in? We have a few different ones such as the spindles (several different options), the drum carder, a few different types of looms etc.

Our next Fiberfrolic event is Tuesday, June 23 at 7pm. We would love for you to come!

You can get signed off on some of the entry level machines here and talk to Linda about what your goals are so we can work on classes!

I have tried using a DIY kit. That was frustrating. I want to learn twill, basket, and pattern weaving.

Not sure which looms we have at DMS. Rigid heddle loom ?

Btw, is there a way to directly message someone on talk as well? Like a chat feature.

I’ll bring out the inkle looms for the next Fiber Frolic. That’s June 23rd.

Yes!
Check out the “Read First” thread that’s pinned near the top. It walks through all sorts of wonderfulness, including urging us to make use of Discobot, the interactive trainer that uses cheese and cheek to help us learn to use this platform.
