I just found this one interesting. And notice the numerical readout on the wheel.
Anyone ever seen such a species?
That’s cool.
Never seen such a beast (though I’m rarely on the hunt for unusual tools. Maybe I should take that up…)
careful - it’s addictive. you’ll end up like us old guys with drawers full of tool collections.
Andrew,
It is very very addicting per Nick. I have some vintage tools and misc. Some of which I used to use when I was a yute working on European autos (way way back in the days before “scan tools” - those days when technicians had to troubleshoot problems) no YouTube or Google not not as far back as Walter’s day’s or steam or chariots!
In my garage i have a huge vintage cordless saw that has a 72" blade - collecting dust…
Pedal power, Flintstones style?
two man crosscut saw
I saw that posted on facebook and thought it was pretty cool.
Here is more about it:
- impressive. thanks!
Ah. Clockmaking. Makes perfect sense. i reckon if you can make a clock that can keep time worth a hoot, you can make a simple little micrometer with a special gauge-thingy readout… Nifty.
Thanks for posting that guide - it has a good article about KIng Dick tools
