Vacuum form prep question

Some materials (notably ABS) require pre-drying before vacuum forming because they are hygroscopic. In the case of ABS, this is about 175F for 1 hour per mm of thickness.

Can the Formech be used for the “pre-drying”? Failing that, do we have some type of an oven where an 18 x 20" sheet could be dried at 175F for about an hour and a half? Could the plastic sheet be hung in the powder coat oven at that temp?

Probably should include @rlisbona on this.

I need to look, but I don’t thnk the vacuformer will set temps that low.

We could definitely set the powdercoat oven to 175.
I’m kinda grounded from being at the space other than monday nights, we took wallpaper off our kitchen and guest bath over a year ago and my wife all of a sudden wants me to finish it! It would have been easier to take the drywall down and start over.

Max should be able to go over the controls with you

Took me three years for our daughters bathroom, wasn’t a big priority because we have 3 bathrooms, I hate hiring contractors for something I could do, eventually, when I get around to it, when there isn’t something more fun I should be doing.
