Using the metaza on resin

Can I use the Metaza to engrave an image/text on one of the plain black resin pendants I made? Some of them are close to the same size as the dog tags we were working with. I checked the online website, but it only talks about the different types of metals you can use and how soft they have to be. I imagine the resin would be plenty soft.

If this would hurt the Metaza, is there something else you’d recommend?

“Soft” is a relative word. Their manual is telling you to not use it on tool steel. On the other hand, some materials would be too soft to get a good image (just to be silly – consider trying to impact print on corrugated cardboard).

Anyway, one of the smaller Metaza models states that it can be used on “synthetic resin surfaces”.
