FYI, the North TX Blacksmiths Association is hosting a TX Forging Festival next weekend (Nov 13-14) in Cross Roads, TX (east of Denton).
Blacksmith-specific events include:
Blacksmith Demos: Sat & Sun All Day. Feel the heat of the forge and listen to the anvil ring while blacksmiths demonstrate how they move metal into tools and art.
NTxBA Conference (paid members): Saturday 10:00am-2:00pm. Demonstration and education provided by Brian Brazeal and Mark Ling.
Blacksmith Auction: Saturday 2:00pm. Toolbox raffle and auction. All proceeds benefit NTxBA
Blacksmith Competition: Sunday 10am – 5pm. Watch the NTxBA members compete in “Fit the slot” and “Timed nail making”.
There are many other demos and attractions as well.
