Tubing bender is now working… Mostly. Spent a couple hours trying to bend some 1" ID steel tubing. The tubing bender had stripped the threads from the lock screws that hold the die to the main wheel shaft. It is setup with only the 1" die. I’m not sure where the other dies are stored.
I drilled out the holes and enlarged them to an M8, tapped them, and put in new M8 bolts instead of screws. Please don’t over-tighten these things. There is no reason. You have to be on the flat portion of the shaft or no amount of tightening is going to work. It just strips the threads, and then it is useless… again.
That said, this thing is a beast to use, and could break a foot since it is not bolted down. I put an anvil on base, and that helped, but be careful. It is also quite a workout.
