Hey Digital Media folks!
I picked up a new toy over the holiday, a TI Speak & Music. This is one of the Speak & family of products from Texas instruments that I’ve never heard of before, but since I like to tinker with synths, I had to get it.
First thing… put batteries in it and play with it… Second thing was to record all the audio output and create samples for folks to use in music. The audio levels were too hot so I used my Eurorack Mixer module from AI Synthesis to drop the audio levels down cleanly and Sony Sound Forge Audio Studio to create the 44KHz .wav files.
They have been posted out to the Internet Archive at: TI Speak And Music audio samples : Texas Instruments : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive
In the .zip file you will find the samples as created by the unit and under the Words directory you will find individual words as captured out of the main body of samples.
All I ask is that if you use these, post your music!!!
