Hello, as you are well aware I am Axeonos, Chairperson of 3d fab.
This April for the next board of directors/chairperson elect, I will be stepping
down as chairperson of 3d fab.
Under my service I have made 3d fab more accessible with 5 new printers
(2 new polyprinters, a resin printer, the sinterit Lisa, and the pla printer)
And 1 vacuum former. I have brought in a television with chrome cast
For classes, 2 new printers using non PLA/ABS filament. And was able to
Put forth the efforts to show off your works in shelving all around 3d fab
I have strived to give easier and cleaner ways of storage of the filament
And tools. I have made all this more streamlined for the modern user to
Come in and print using the Moodle online class module. Also giving
Access to the computers in the common room so the computer in 3d fab
Can be just for slicing and not hogged. I have even cemented rules
Put in place upon the wall.
In the past 2 years I have done all this…… And I will let you know I am
Exhausted. Getting messages and calls at random times for issues
When I’m not even in the same state. Plus getting a new house that’s
Further… its enough to make my bangs turn white…
But truth be told I have been addicted to the power. I loved the feeling
Of someone listening to what I had to say. 3d fab is something I can see
Being both a blessing and a curse. It draws so many people into the space
And once in you are hooked. That’s another reason why I’m stepping down.
Too much power… to the next person I have tried to list everything I do on
The wiki, who ever it is. May your reign be just as if not more glorious. I shall continue to teach 3d fab classes. just know that if im needed you need but only ask. just know it is hard and thankless at times.
Id like to thank a few people though. Mitch Cerroni. He has been my right
Hand man. He has been there to fix things that make me go cross eyed
And quite frankly I hope he steps up to fill my shoes…. Cause I think he
Would make my reign look like chicken feed.
To those of you who are in the 3d fab committee, thank you. You have
Shown 3d fab to be the place others want to be in
To those of you who have been in 3d fab printing away till the wee hours
Of the night, thank you. Your creativity is something for the record books
And to those of you at DMS. Thank you. I’m not dying, I’m not going away
But good god do I need a break
