The bugs are back

I was at DMS this afternoon and noticed that there were a couple of Soldier Flys back and some eggs have been laid on a couple plants.

I have some organic insecticide spray for fruits and vegetables but wanted to check with others before spraying the pepper plant. Don’t want to kill anything you got going in other areas.

That looks like fertilizer pellets. Definitely not soldier fly eggs.

Yeah, Black Soldier Flies lay eggs in compost or decaying material. Their larvae don’t go after living plants.

I’m not sure if they are eggs or some kind of fungal growth.

If it -is- something that’s gotten in and is attacking plants I do want to know what it is and take appropriate countermeasures.

Check the foliage on some of the other plants to see if they have been affected as well.
