Thank goodness for DMS Members and Automotive

I sprang a leak today. I was driving along and noticed the Heat gauge moving up a little… then a little more,… then a LOT more. By the time I got pulled over it was pegged to the top.

Luckily I had a gallon of water in the van, so I put that in, then walked over to a store and got some more water. I heard water trickling, but not at the front of the van. The hose to the rear heater in the van had rubbed and worn thru. I called around to a couple of DMS members, and as luck would have it Tom @TLAR was nearby. Tom helped me bypass the leak with some parts from Lowes. Thanks to Tom, I was able to continue my day.

After work, I came back to the space and was able to remove the rear heater and secure the bypass better.

Thank goodness for Automotive, and the generosity of DMS members.

You’re welcome Stan!

The planets were in your favour today - I happened to be heading to a vendor near Addison after an errand and I always carry basic tools in my car or truck.
That was the easiest heater core to bypass I’ve ever done.
Let’s see about getting your AC working
