That seems sub-optimum. It’s a rogue shelf, and adds confusion among those looking for their stuff.

Thanks for the post, dry, a couple of months after I lost my expensive Bose headphones, they were not stolen from the lost and found area.
Many people at the space are hurting for money yet nobody steals.
