A teaching the teachers class is being offered for prospective teachers for the Clausing-Colchester intro (training required) class on Sunday August 27 at 4:15pm. More teachers are needed to sustain the training required concept and serve the needs of the membership.
This is not lathe training, but rather, training to prepare new teachers to teach new users the basics. One should have basic familiarity with lathe operation, but need not be an expert or even good at making things on a lathe. prior teaching experience at the DMS is not a requirement; this can be your first venture into teaching. In fact, it can be a good place to start as the class materials already exist.
The class sign in sheet will include a column in which the enthusiastic participant will be expected to enter a September date on which he/she is committing to offer their first lathe class.
