T-Shirt Making Classes

My wife and I are wanting to learn how to make t-shirts. What classes would ya’ll recommend to get started?

Depends on what you mean by “make t-shirts”. Are you buying fabric or t-shirts to start with?

Excellent point. I shouldn’t been much clearer. I’m talking about printing imagines and words on already made t-shirts.

We’ve got screen printing in the Print Making committee. If you’re looking to make several identical t-shirts, that’s a good option. You can do that with cotton t-shirts and cotton-blend t-shirts.

You can also print on t-shirt with dye-sublimation. That’s more one-off, but you’ve got to use 100% poly or nylon fabric. The fabric needs to be able to melt a bit for the dye-sub stuff to stick.

Very short run (six or under) and few colors (four or less) - Heat press vinyl
Medium to long run (6+), and few colors (four or less) - screen printing
Short to medium run (1-12), full color - dye sublimation
Large run (more than 12), full color - Pay for DTG (Direct To Garment) or dye sublimation printing at a shop
