Can anyone tell me how big the surface grinder is in the machine shop, I need to surface a set of planer blades that are 12.5 " wide, also, do you have to take a class to be able to use it, I worked in a machine shop years ago, but have not taken any machine shop classes.

First off, the machine is not currently operational. Needs several things, including an enclosure. Second, Wheels. Third, training developed for it.
Not sure what the size is, but 12" is probably doable once up and running…
