I have a Nikon D5400 with the kit lenses. I’m building another house (that one is my daughter’s) and I’ll do it at DMS. So it’ll be down there in any case.

What type of photos are you wanting as far as “marketing”? Plain white like a typical product page or in a setting like grass/outside?

They put the auction items in a paper catalog so I assume they’ll prefer a white background. I am going to try to get a copy of last year’s auction catalog to see how the other items are shown.

A White background is great for retail stuff like clothing, but since you’re talking about a hand-made item and it looks like your house has nice hard wood floors you might consider shooting “in situ” with dolls or something for scale.

It would be a lot less effort and I think that it might help sell up the personal side.
