Hey all, just wanted to update everyone as to what’s going on with Big Thunder.
Anyone who’s been at the space recently may have noticed that the bed was out of the machine and leaning on its side. After the fire, we determined that the bed was actually quite warped on the left side where the heat damage occurred and no longer lays flat. We are looking into replacing it in the near future.
However, I did determine that ~70% of the bed is still fine, so as of right now Big Thunder’s bed has been returned to the machine and Big Thunder is up, as of right now. However, I’vesectioned off about 30% of the bed with blue tape and put a big blue X over it. Please do not cut or engrave in this area, and for best results it’s suggested that you don’t even put your material in this area as, again, the bed is not flat there.
