Sonic Welding Metal parts?

I have some machined parts I want fixed together is there a method using a sonic welder like you can with plastic?
Do we have anything like this at the maker space?

I don’t know if this is even a thing, but just curious what would be a good way to fix two parts together.

I’ve never seen sonic welding for metals. Can’t see how it would remotely be possible. Usually your have to plan to weld, or bolt, or set screw onto a shaft, or otherwise plan for a mechanical or weld connection.

There appears to be sonic or “ultrasonic” welding out there, but we have nothing like it @ DMS.
