I got a free pass last year, but it only got me into the Exhibit Hall. Though that was interesting, once I was there I realized I missed the majority of the conference in not having access to the training.
I would love a pass! You have my phone number, any other contact info you need? I’ll PM it to you.
Fudge!!! I just noticed this thread. I’d love a pass. Am I too late? Also I wrote the following email to Bali before noticing your post:
Dear Bali:
I’m a Dallas Makerspace member who’d like very much to get a free pass to Solidworks World. I just noticed that you offered one of our members passes in an email, with a Christmas deadline, but I didn’t get a copy of your email until tonight. I hope your (expired) offer still stands, as I’d like to go.
As for me, I’m the guy who first contacted Marie at your company to get our Solidworks program started. I’ve also taught a few introductory classes at the Dallas Makerspace to a few of our members and intend to teach a few more. I’ve been using the software to design prototypes for 3D printing for my invention, the Aluminator (see http://www.aluminoids.com), so I’m a fan. There’s another guy here (Richard Martin) who has expressed interest in attending.
Incidentally, I have no idea why Bruce said he wouldn’t be advertising Solidworks here and insulted your pricing. It’s his personal reaction, and he doesn’t speak for our Board or organization in this. David Kessinger (one of 5 board members) is a great fan of your product as well and (I believe) we’re much inclined to publicize it. We even let your North Texas Solidworks Group use our lecture rooms for their meetings. So I’ll do what I can to let everyone know about the event.
If you don’t mind, I’d like to talk with you at your convenience. I’m at 972-955-6836.
