Hello again!
I’m in the region for a few weeks and need to acquire about 3kW for the first layer of solar on my new cargo trailer I’m turning into a portable workshop. A solar dealer an hour east of Dallas is asking $88 (plus tax & shipping) per 400W bi-facial panel (about $0.22/W). I only need 5 or 6 panels right now, but that deal requires purchase of a full pallet (36 panels) & can only be delivered to places with a commercial loading dock. I have other options, but this particular option is a great deal per Watt. Anyone else planning to buy several panels, soon? DMS Auto could add several to their cargo trailers to keep car & tool batteries primed (or to run a mini split). Please let me know here if you’re interested. I don’t think we should move forward with a purchase unless all panels in the pallet will have new owners within a week of delivery. We get free shipping if the order goes over $5k. Thanks! -Daniel Love
I hear great things about Signature Solar.
And dear lord I remember when panels dropping to $1/watt was the shiznit. Now less than a quarter of that milestone!
I wish I had a project - or even a demonstration use case - for such a deal, but I do not.
Signature Solar has a retail store in Sulphur Springs - can they do small quantities over the counter? Or perhaps a will-call pickup?

I think I’m probably going to get one of their solar mini split package that comes with 7 panels. If I fly the panels up above roof vents, I can fit 7x panels on the cargo trailer (up to 3.7kW). If so, I’ll go pick those up next weekend.
You might also check out Beene Brothers, they’re local and tend to have excellent deals on smaller quantities.
