Software format

Can anybody tell me what software formats are acceptable? I am familiar with Houdini and Bender. I imagine that closed .obj formats are okay. What is the usual path? Is solidworks required? And, when is the next intro class? Thanks, anybody!

I’m pretty sure its needs to be a .stl file.

In blender you can export any imported obj/fbx/glif file as a .stl file.

Solidworks or onshape are super super helpful for this kinda stuff but not necessary…

i took the class 2 weeks ago and still needed to check these kinds of of questions with Chatgpt.
