Silver Nitrate mirror/ornament?

Over the ages a few people have taught classes using a silver nitrate solution to silver a glass object. Could someone please refresh my memory as to the chemicals used and their amounts? I can’t seem to find my notes …

Doesn’t seem like it’s fake. I do have some USP NaOH.

I remember it being a combination of silver nitrate, NaOH, ammonia, and possibly sugar … but that’s all I remember.

These are the resources from our silver mirroring kit; the protocol has always worked well as long as you give the silver enough time to deposit (it will look black before it turns into a shiny silver color).
