Sherline for Bridgeport Trained Users: Short Course

Just submitted for Thursday 11-21 at 7PM. Up to 8 people.

You must be in the AD system as approved for Bridgeport, if not, will not be certified for use.

This is a “Fast Track” 90 minute class for members that have experience is for people that have completed the Bridgeport Mill class. Because of commonality as to machining methods and cutters, this class will focus the differences so you can get going on the Bridgeport Mill.

It will be primarily demonstration, familiarity, with minimal hands-on in class.

Class meets at the Sherline table

Special Considerations and Warnings

Standard machine Shop Safety Rules

  1. Safety Glasses - must have side shields
  2. Closed shoes - no open toe or “Crock type”
  3. If long hair, some way to tie it back.
Minimum age 18 since you must have been trained on Sherline.

I’m interested in this class. But for some reason it hasn’t yet appeared in the list of events.

It takes up to 3 days for a class to hit the calendar after being submitted.

I’ve scheduled for 8 so you shouldn’t have a problem. Note: you’ve had to have had the Bridgeport class since things like cutters, speeds and feeds etc. are common to both.

Got it. Thank you for clarifying this point.

I’ve taken Bridgeport class in October. So, it won’t be an issue.

You edited the wrong one…

David,

Thanks for stepping up to teach in the Sherline arena. The Sherline tooling has been wondering in a teaching desert for far too long; the Hebrews had to wonder in the Sinai for 40 years and still, some teaching occurred!

Regards,
Bob
