I have a project that will require the use of the Shapeoko. The only upcoming class is on an evening that I am unavailable. Can I make plans to meet up with someone who can get me trained and cleared to use this machine?

He is leaving to Iceland this week for a good long trip - @JohnK might be a better person to grab in hopes for a training also @Kentamanos might help
I’ve never actually used the Shapeoko, just the old PCB mill (a lot of similar concepts, but guessing the CAM and controller portion on Shapeoko is smoother).
I could try to take the class on 10/10 and get with @jphelps about possibly teaching it in the future.

Well…if no one can train me, would anyone who is cleared to use this machine be willing to help me with my project? It’s just cutting some little shapes out of thin aluminum. I’ll need to cut about 100. Shouldn’t take too long. 
And I have a very flexible schedule, so I can meet up almost any time.
FWIW, I PM’d Jay about helping to teach moments before you latest reply and I’ll follow up later if I hear something. I want to see him teach it at least once before committing to teaching it to someone else, so it would be after 10/10 before I could help you, but someone might be able to help you with your job before then.
I appreciate it. I could probably wait until after 10/10. I just need to have it all done before the last weekend in October.
