Seeking Full-Time Picture Framer

Vinyard Frame Designs is located in the Dallas Design District. Our workroom specializes in framing services for high-end residential, commercial, and gallery clients. With a reputation for excellence, precision, and craftsmanship, we handle a large volume of projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Picture Framer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with custom framing techniques, a strong understanding of materials and preservation practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure, cut, and assemble custom frames to precise specifications using hand and or power tools.
  • Mount and mat artwork, prints, textiles, and other items with conservation techniques.
  • Handle high-value and fragile artwork with care and expertise.
  • Maintain workflow to meet production deadlines while ensuring consistent craftsmanship.
  • Inspect materials for quality control.
  • Operate under safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of framing equipment, materials, and conservation-grade techniques.
  • High level of manual dexterity, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed work orders and design specifications.
  • Physical ability to lift framed pieces and stand for extended periods.
  • Experience with oversized or complex framing projects.
  • Familiarity with computerized mat cutters (e.g., Wizard).
  • Background in art, design, or museum/gallery framing is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
