Hi @Liamluu I noticed that Saggar usually fires well below cone 6, should I use a different clay than we normally use for our ceramics work in the makerspace?
If it’s like the raku firings, you can use your regular cone 5-6 clay (it’s not going to get vitrified, but it’s not food safe anyway). So no need to get a different clay.
Cone 6 Tmix is ideal, as white clay body will allow the color to pop. I would avoid dark clay bodies. We will refine the surface with terra sig and burnishing Saturday. Then bisque fire during the week.
@Liamluu I believe that the terra sig pieces may have been bisque fired.
