Rivet Name (and a bunch of useless characters to make title longer))

Anyone got a clue as what this type of rivet is called?

I’ve always seen the one on the left referred to as a tubular rivet.

It looks like this is a two part arrangement like the rivets in jeans. I’ve seen those referred to as ‘denim rivets’ or ‘jeans rivets’ but those are almost purely decorative these days. I’m pretty sure that’s not the correct name of the functional two part rivet. I’ve also seem them called ‘cutlery rivets’ when used in knife handles.

McMaster- Carr calls them ’ Two-Piece Press-Fit Rivets’

In leatherwork, we call them tubular rivets or double-cap rivets.

And in case you want a close alternative, the threaded versions are called Chicago Screws. (aka “sex” screws.)

Thanks for all the replies. looks like the Chicago Screw were what I needed. they are longer than the rivet I have.
