Richardson Lunar New Year Festival

Hi everybody!

I’m going to be participating in the Lunar New Year Festival being held in Richardson this sunday from 11am-3pm.

My food stall is TokkiBokki and I’ll be serving Korean Spicy Rice Cakes (tteokbokki) and a sweet korean pancake (hotteok). Tteokbokki is a popular dish of chewy rice cakes similar to thick rice noodles in a spicy, savory, and sweet gochujang sauce. Hotteok is a yeasted, fried dough (similar to a donut) that can have all kinds of fillings (like a pupusa) but mine will be filled with cinnamon sugar and nuts.

My friend will be serving her milk tea under the name Alte and she will be sharing my stall!

The 2024 Richardson Lunar New Year Festival ended with a B A N G with a complete sell out of tteokbokki and hotteok!! Thank you everyone for coming out and supporting us! I was so grateful to see so many new and familiar faces.

For my second time doing a popup event I learned so much and hope to be able to feed even more people at the next one! My stall partner @__alte was also able to sell out and this was their first event ever!! So excited for the future with you guys.

My family had both the tea, tteokbokki (with all the sides), and hotteok. They were all delicious and well priced.
