Edited: Removed Name
Apparently, that email address goes to the forum and works even without an account (though I have one now), whoops. Can someone edit the last sentence out of this post since I’m not sure he wants his name open to the world?
Anyways, update on this since I’m the one who sent the email:
Lefty is back. Still not sure what happened, but is working and ready to go.
Righty’s small holes are small enough to be okay printing over. I’m still uncomfortable with the idea of printing on even a tiny bit of exposed metal, but hey, whatever works.
Far Righty’s ABS filament thing was my fault, I let the head cool before trying to pull it out. Let it heat back up to 220 and it got out fine.
Hi David (@commandhat)!
Thanks for reporting these findings…

Small holes/tears is usually not an issue (other than cosmetic). If you would like for someone to show you how to replace the tape when replacement is actually needed, please contact one of the trainers (3DFab-Members-RolesAndAuthorizations - Dallas Makerspace).

I’m glad you figured out what was going on with the filament. We realize that there is a LOT covered in the regular 3D printer training, so please do not hesitate to ask questions any time you are not 100% sure on something!

On that note, we do have an unofficial Google Hangout “chat” that you can be added to - which is great for quick questions 'n all. Just send me a PM with a Google ID (gmail, etc…) that you would like to use for this, and I can add you to it.

Lefty was out at an event. He had a great time; but, is glad to be back!

Thanks again!
Lisa
