As many have seen on the come and get it shelf my roommate and I (but mostly roommate) have been purging our house of computer equipment. There’s one piece of equipment I don’t think I’m allowed to put on the shelf. It’s a Cordata CS 40 (one piece) computer.
Not much good for daily use. But if someone wants to make a project of it (modding to a super computer) just let me know and I’ll bring it to the space. Otherwise I’ll just place it on the curb in front of my house and see how desperate the pickers are.
Sounds like a great piece for the Vintage Computer Committee to fix up and add to the interactive museum. Swing by the XM Core Meetup on Friday and we’ll gladly accept the donation.
I just wanted to point out that the Cordata CS40 is based on the Intel 8088 processor, not the 8080 as your entry in the wiki says. It also runs MS or PC-DOS instead of CP/M.
