They haven’t been released yet :’( Pearce and I are (un-)patiently waiting…

They have supposedly started shipping the preorders.

So far I have only found one video/verifiable Core out in the wild.

Does it work as a stand alone? I’d assumed it would be tied to Razer products
So from the documentation I have found the Razer Core the protocol the Core uses is part of the Official Thunderbolt 3 standard.

If a device is fully thunderbolt 3 certified it ‘should’ support eGPU expansion. But who knows until people start testing it.
Any updates guys?

Yep, bought it and a 980Ti. It’s awesome. Only limitation when gaming is the CPU (dual-core i7 6600U)
Thank you @bscharff for letting my try your Core on my ThinkPad P50.
These were the results:

The install was a bit tricky, but straightforward, and the Nvidia control panel still does a bad job at auto-selecting the correct GPU. The only way I have found to force the Razor Core’s GPU to be used to was to disable the internal Quadro in the device manager.
This trickiness does not appear to be a problem when using the Core to run an external GPU.

Given how well all this worked is was somewhat disappointed that the hot-plugging does not work.

As long I disconnect the GPU in the Nvidia notification area it works fine.

So to conclude the Razer Core works with my Thinkpad P50, it however is not a bug free solution. If you want to get a Razer Core to run external displays I think you will be satisfied. However, if you want the Core to drive the internal P50 display, I think you will be disappointed.
