Raspberry Pi - Getting Started Class - Wed. Sept 27, 7PM-9PM

This class will help you become familiar with the Raspberry Pi as we prepare the mico SD card for the device, configure the newly booted unit, and then go over some of the “normal” things the board can be used for, and how to use it.
Since this board is capable of SO MANY things, we will only be able to scratch the surface.
First off, this product is a fully functioning computer, but with its many expansion connectors available, it is able to become so much more. In upcoming classes, we will use the expansion connectors to connect different devices, most of which are very inexpensive, and allow the platform to perform additional functionality, such as read, record, and plot the temperature over time. Connect a webcam to take photos and record videos. Control servos, motors, relays, and other devices using inexpensive attached modules.
What would you like to do with a Raspberry Pi ?
If it’s something a class may want to know, we could cover it in a future class.
