Aw Mrjimmy… I hate to disagree… It IS possible… I refer you to the scene in the Wizard of Oz where the Tinman snaps his fingers after the witch threatens them… (Tinman: “Ironman… I Am YOUR FATHER!” Ironman: NOOOOOO!!!)

You make a compelling case, but the tin man was all tin, no hand inside, where as thanos has his hand inside a glove which means the glove and finger would have different rates of friction.
Perhaps we need to conduct a test. I’ll cut six stones in jewelry, could you forge us a glove?
