yea - i was being cheeky with what i said… today i think its relatively cool. I ran oblivion back in the day and I think the support for fido/etc wasnt that good in that bbs software… today mystic and syncronet handle it quite well…

Wall mount ordered. We’ll need to drill out the old locks and replace the handset which those will be ordered once we crack this open but we’ll at lease have a mount for it here at the space in a week or so.
Been in touch with a few fellow hackers at Telephreak. they’re wanting to contribute with getting the payphone online.
If anyone is interested in helping out we’ll be grabbing a conference line and working on what we need next to complete.

C*NET at https://www.ckts.info/ and NPSTN at https://npstn.us/ – there is even ProjectMF at http://projectmf.org/ which is an Asterisk switch re-written to allow for inband signalling (i.e. Blue Boxing)!! Did you know that with a voice/data/fax modem one could talk on the same line as the modem could dial?
