Procedure for getting rid of oil?

Hi guys! About to head up to the Space and was going to change my oil while I’m up there. What is the procedure for discarding used oil at the space?

After you finish the change, pour the used oil from the catch pan into what were your new oil containers. You’ll then need to drop it off at an auto parts store. AutoZone, O’Reily, etc. pretty much all have a used fluids bin you can pour the old oil into. Just ask at the front desk where theirs is at.

Key point: all used fluids are the responsibility of member creating it and must remove it. Individuals can drop it off at the auto parts stores for collection. DMS as a corporation cannot, DMS has to pay to have it disposed of if left at DMS.

Throwing in the dumpster is a big no-no.

I save up a couple bleach bottles or similar bottles to bring for hauling away waste fluids: oil and coolant.
