I want to print some things that will be used out doors. Would the printerbot be able to print asa. I heard it the same as abs just more uv resistant. I dont know how it would work without an enclosure.
I cannot find anything on the Wiki.
Someone from @Team_3D_Fab may be able to help.
As far as I know printing ASA is like printing ABS. I don’t see a problem
with it.
It is currently discontented from a PC.
You would prob want an enclosure for it, if just a cardboard box.
Note that the printrbot is listed as not operational and last time I was in there, I couldn’t figure out how to connect to it.
perhaps if you plugged it in via USB directly to your computer and used Cura or whatever printrbot recomends, you could bring it back to life.
The printrbot is working it just needs a host pc, we had it connected to a pi for octoprint. We are replacing it with the Rostock Max V3 kit we recently got. That will be able to do ASA if you have an enclousure (cardboard or foam suggested above)
