Potentially Our next vise

Came across Fireball’s vise. It might be an interesting build in the future.

Remove the swivel base and its probably relatively easy on the plasma.

I wonder how many man hours he had into that build. I know the point isn’t how many hours you put into something to get exactly what you want. I have built things that I could have just bought online, and put wayyyyyy too many hours into the build.

Dang, with the amount of layout, materials prep, water jet, welding, painting.

I’m sure he is looking at it as a business prospective. If you build it they will come. I would suspect that he had an idea if he built one, others may want to follow. I would imagine with the interest he may start selling parts for the kit. He is already selling the plans, so that’s a plus for him.

Looks like he did a breakdown

Really interesting.

We should have a “Maker Destructive Testing Lab”, .e.g. normal maker usage. Companies donate equipment to see how well it holds up.

Storage would be a problem…And we’d likely need a legal defense fund against submitters who didn’t like our results regardless of what waivers we have them sign ahead of time.

Storage will always be a problem.
Litigation is just another way to stop a bad product review.
